FAQs

What date is the May Ball?

The May Ball is on Friday 24th June 2022.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is creative black tie or national dress.

Wear your finest gowns and evening suits. Classic black tie attire for those donning suits and ankle length gowns for those who would like to move a little more liberally.

Trainers are not allowed. If you do not wish to wear heels, please wear formal flat shoes instead.

The dress code will be strictly enforced, and those who are not properly attired will not be allowed entry into the ball.

How do I collect my wristband?

Please come to collect your wristband from the Wolfson Clubroom at one of the following times:
Wednesday 22nd June: 19:00-21:00
Thursday 23rd June: 18:00-21:00
Friday 24th June: 10:00-12:00

Please bring evidence of your ticket purchase when you come to collect.

If you cannot make any of the above times, someone may collect your ticket on your behalf as long as they can provide evidence of your purchase. Alternatively you can collet your wristband on the night, but this is not advised as we want to avoid delays and long queues.

How do I enter the ball?

All ticket holders must enter the event from the front of the college on Barton Road.
VIP ticket holders will be permitted entry to the ball from 19:45.
Standard ticket holders and queue jump will be permitted entry to the ball from 20:45.

To gain entry to the ball you MUST bring with you your wristband (see above) and photographic ID (see below).

Do I need to bring ID?

Yes. You must provide valid photographic identification confirming both your identity and your date of birth, for example a driver's license or passport.

What time is the latest admission to the ball?

No one will be admitted to the Ball after 22:30, unless there are exceptional circumstances that have been discussed in advance with the Ticketing Officer.

Is the ball accessible?

We aim to make the ball accessible for everyone. For specific queries, please contact the Accessibility, Health & Safety Officer by emailing safety@wolfsonmayball.com.

Will there be a cloakroom?

There will be a self-service cloakroom available at the Ball. While we endeavour to ensure the security of your belongings, it is strongly recommended that valuables are not left in coats. Please avoid bringing any large bags (significantly larger than an A5 sheet).

I didn't get a ticket, is there a waiting list?

Unfortunately the waiting list is now closed.

Can I change the name on my ticket?

To change the name on a ticket, you must transfer your ticket to the person whose name will appear on the ticket. Ticket transfers are possible through the FIXR app. The person you need to transfer the ticket to needs to create a FIXR account. The deadline for ticket transfers is Thursday 23rd June at 6pm.

Can I get my ticket refunded?

Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer refunds.

I have a different question!
